An unforgettable day tour, cruising the renowned coastline of Maria Island, Ile Des Phoques and Tasmania's stunning East Coast. 

Your tour will depart from the Triabunna marina (approximately 1-hour and 15-minutes from Hobart), and includes a 4 hour scenic cruise with a 2-hour stay on the island including a gentle walk of Maria's World Heritage listed convict settlement.   Morning tea will be provided and will include freshly brewed tea, coffee, orange juice, soft drinks, soda water and still water.  Home made cakes, gluten and dairy free fruit bliss balls will also be offered during morning tea on the boat.  Local wines (Darlington Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc) and Tasmanian premium lager will also be offered for purchase during the lunch break.  Lunch will be BYO during this tour.

After lunch, we will dock at Darlington for time with the wombats and an explore of the Darlington convict site. The perfect way to compliment your cruise is to stretch your legs and enjoy a guided tour through Darlington’s fascinating collection of preserved convict buildings, learn about the town’s remarkable history and come face to face with Maria Island’s resident wombats.  If history is not for you, then simply soak up the sun on Darlington’s white sandy beach.

Guests will be required to provide a Tasmanian National Parks Pass for entry onto Maria Island.  We encourage locals to purchase an annual park pass to cover the entire family.  Individual daily park passes can purchased at the Triabunna Visitor Center on the day of travel.

Tour departs Triabunna at 9:00am and returns Triabunna at 4:30pm.

Join our NEW 2hr cruise to Ile Des Phoques from Darlington at Maria Island!

This cruise is designed to give you all the excitement of our favourite place in Tasmania, the Ile Des Phoques (French for Island Of Seals) in a short 2hr cruise experience.

Your cruise to the seals will depart and return to Darlington on Maria Island.  Catch the ferry to Maria and combine a cruise to the Ile Des Phoques with you stay on the island. 

Once at Ile Des Phoques, we will spend 45min at the island, learning about the breeding seal colony from marine biologists and exploring the giant rainbow sea caves (pictured above).  Seeing this natural phenomenon is one of the most breathtaking natural experiences in Tasmania. 

Tour departs Darlington at 2pm and returns at 4pm.  Customers are required to catch the Maria Island Ferry to join the cruise.

Catch the ferry to Maria Island and join our redesigned Maria Island cruise from Darlington for a cruise around Maria's stunning East Coast.  View the famous Fossil Cliffs and Painted Cliffs by boat, explore inside giant sea caves, waterfalls, views of Mt Bishop & Clerk en-route to Mistaken Cape.  Expert commentary of Maria Island's famous geology will be provided by our scientific guides who know the island intimately.  Combine your cruise with spending time on Maria Island hiking, mountain biking, swimming or just relaxing with wombats, before catching the ferry home.

Tour departs Darlington at 2:15pm and returns to Darlington at 3:35pm.  Guests are required to travel on the Maria Island ferry to join the cruise.

Join our half-day cruise to Ile Des Phoques.

This cruise is designed to give you all the excitement of our favourite place in Tasmania, the Ile Des Phoques (French for Island Of Seals) in a short half-day cruise experience.

The Ile Des Phoques has been our much loved place to cruise, swim, dive and explore ever since we began in 2007. The Ile Des Phoques is a small granite island that sits between Maria Island and Schouten Island.  It is an absolute haven for marine life and has been declared one of the best cold water dives in the world by National Geographic photographer David Doubilet.  

Your cruise to the seals will depart Triabunna at 9am and take you directly to Ile Des Phoques, where you will enjoy morning tea with the seals and explore the giant rainbow sea caves.  The caves at Ile Des Phoques are possibly the largest granite sea caves in Australia and with the right conditions, we can take the boat over 70m inside the island.  The colourful algae inside is lit with the morning sunlight as it streams through natural windows in the cave walls.  Seeing this natural phenomenon is one of the most breathtaking experiences in Tasmania. 

After exploring Ile Des Phoques, we come back to Maria Island and explore the Fossil Cliffs, Painted Cliffs and dock at Darlington for a 1hr guided walk.

Morning and afternoon tea is provided onboard and will include cakes, freshly brewed tea, coffee, orange juice, soft drinks, soda water and still water.

1-way ferry tickets can be purchased for those who wish to catch the late afternoon ferry service from Maria Island.

Join us on our SUPER CRUISE from Triabunna to Hobart via Maria Island's stunning east coast, Marion Bay, Dunalley, the Dennison Canal, Frederick Henry Bay, South Arm, Iron Pot and the River Derwent. Our shuttle bus will deliver you to or from Hobart depending on the direction of the cruise and our renowned chariot the Spirit Of Maria will truly take you on the adventure of a lifetime.  

The cruise will depart from Triabunna at 9am, our shuttle bus will meet you at Brooke Street Pier at 7am.  We will drive you in comfort to Triabunna and board our chariot the Spirit Of Maria.   You may also like to meet us in Triabunna if you are already located on the east coast.  We will set off and cruise around the stunning east coast of Maria Island.  The east coast of Maria Island showcases mountain fed waterfalls, secluded bays, sea caves, ancient geology and beaches of pure white sand. Enjoy expert commentary as you cruise to the renowned Riedle Bay and Shoal Bay at Maria Island's isthmus for a gourmet lunch on anchor. These stunning beaches are both identical to the world-famous Wineglass Bay and are only visited by a handful of people each year.  En route around Maria Island we stop to showcase many famous landmarks including the Fossil Cliffs and Painted Cliffs.

At the southern tip of Maria Island we will cruise south to Marion Bay and enter the Marion Bay Narrows and Boomer Bay en route to Dunalley.  This is a wonderful experience to see the views around this stunning waterway.  As we travel across Boomer Bay to Dunalley, we transit through the Dennison Canal and we would consider this experience to be one of the major highlights of this journey.  We literally stop traffic as the bridge opens up for us and we pass through and stop at the Dunalley fish Market for lunch. 

Exiting the Dennison Canal, we cruise past Seven Mile Beach, Sloping Island, the rugged coastline of South Arm, Betsy Island, Iron Pot Lighthouse and into the Rover Derwent for our cruise to ther Hobart Waterfront.

Your lunch will be enjoyed onboard the boat.  Complimentary non alcoholic drinks of tea, coffee, juice, soft drinks, soda water and still water are provided on the boat.  A single serve of local wines (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc) and Tasmanian premium lager are also provided during lunch.  Additional serves are available for purchase for $6.

In the afternoon, your cruise will dock at approximately 4:30pm.  If you require the shuttle bus to return back to your starting location, the bus will be waiting for you.
